IT IS OVER. FINITO. DONE. FOREVER.
My school's production of Wonderland: The Musical Misadventures of a Girl Named Alice is over now! It was a good run while it lasted, with many shenanigans. Everyone who was a part of the show enjoyed themselves immensely while working on it, and the shows made us laugh until we cried.
There's a tradition at my school, that on closing night, people are given the chance to take some...liberties with some of the things that go on onstage. We had a couple really good gags this year, including:
- The Red Queen drew a moustache on the sleeping Red King's face
- There was a pudding fight
- Replacing 'Kitty' with a tiger
- Having the guy who played the train conductor be more silly then he usually is
- Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum wore the Red King's crown
- Hatta and the White King's new dialogue about White Kingsington
- Our announcer was Scottish
- The two newscasters dressed up in their costumes from last year's production of Seussical The Musical, where they were Mr. and Mrs. Mayor
There were other nonsensical and illogical shenanigans being performed as well, but they were more to do with the actual plot of the play, and less about the action. All in all, it was a ton of fun.

In other news, I think I'm getting sick.
Seriously, I am in love with life right now. I DO NOT EVEN CARE THAT I WILL HAVE AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF WITHDRAWL THIS WEEK.
ReplyDeleteLife is so grand.
